All Schools: Register for Epicenter Training and Request User Account Setup Now!

As we prepare for the 2018 – 2019 school year, the Institute strives to streamline existing processes and optimize time-saving strategies.  Over the past several months we have been working with the National Charter Institute to develop Epicenter, a cloud-based system that will streamline managing compliance and submissions to the Institute. Schools will provide all required submissions, such as quarterly reports, financial audits, and board meeting minutes directly through Epicenter and no longer through email or the Institute’s website.

We will begin collecting required submissions through Epicenter in the fall. First, users need to be identified and established. Secondly, those users will sign up for an Epicenter training. Finally, schools will be able to submit required documents directly through Epicenter.

This system will require individual user login for online access. It is recommended to have 2-3 users, but no more than 5 per school. When considering staff to identify as users, please consider your school’s current processes and who currently submits required reports and other materials to the Institute. This may include external consultants. Each user should have strong technical ability and the capacity to navigate web-based systems. The primary data administrator will be required to have access to Epicenter in order to submit any student-level data.  Therefore, please include them in your list of Epicenter users.

Please email the Institute at [email protected] to request user set up. When submitting a user request, please include the following information for each user:

  • First and Last Name
  • Ed. Corp Name
  • School name
  • Title
  • Email Address
  • Epicenter Team Lead – yes/no (to be lead in communication/troubleshooting)
  • Primary data administrator – yes/no

Once this information is submitted, our internal team of Epicenter administrators will establish users. Each user will receive an email directly from Epicenter prompting them to complete a user profile. This will include establishing a username and password for login purposes. Several school representatives have already reached out to establish user accounts – Thank you!

We will collaborate with the National Charter Institute to offer Epicenter training in August and strongly encourage all users to participate to ensure a high level of success in understanding the system.  Training will be web-based and will require internet access.  Training will cover an introduction to Epicenter and walk users through the submission process. They will be approximately 1 – 1.5 hours in length and offer opportunity for direct Q&A with both Epicenter staff as well as Institute staff. Click here to register for one of the trainings listed below.
