State Charter Schools for Public Comment - 11/22/11

  • As you may know, the May 2010 amendments to the Charter Schools Act of 1998 require New York's charter authorizers to now accept applications to establish new charter schools by way of a Request for Proposal process. • We welcome your comments. Also, please feel free to share the draft document broadly and/or to post the electronic version on your website. The Institute will accept comments via email to: charters@suny.edu and via mail to: SUNY Charter Schools Institute, 41 State Street, Suite 700, Albany, New York 12207, through 5 p.m. on December 12, 2012. The Institute will also host a meeting via video-conference with locations in Albany, New York City and Buffalo to solicit verbal comments during that comment period.
