| The Beginning with Children Charter School is a diverse, caring and nurturing learning community that fosters high academic achievement and the development of ethical character for elementary and middle school students. Basic skills in reading, writing, math, science and social studies are linked to analytical thinking and creative problem solving through hands-on learning and real-world experiences. Music, movement, and art are fully integrated into the curriculum, and dynamic partnerships between the school, families and community enable all students to excel. Continual assessment and evaluation enhance the educational program. BwCCS prepares graduates for success in high school, college and beyond by developing independent thinkers and active citizens. The educational program is geared toward individualized learning. Children are nurtured on a multitude of levels: academically, socially and emotionally. The standards-based curriculum is continuously fine-tuned to address specific strengths and weaknesses on a student by student basis. BwCCS is a K-8 school. Enriched after-school programs are provided from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. |
