Description:
The Charter School for Applied Technologies seeks to help rebuild the economy of Western New York by providing students with a world-class education that will give them the knowledge and skills necessary to sustain and lead the industries of this region through the 21st century. The school enriches Edison’s core curriculum with co-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities for students to become exposed to and aware of careers in the industrial, manufacturing and construction sectors of our region – there is a strong affiliation with the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, and the regional Chamber of Commerce. Internship, mentoring and training opportunities for students that are supervised onsite through ties to local businesses, industrial and labor leaders.
