| Description: |
| The Harlem Children's Zone Promise Academy Charter School uses a comprehensive approach to literacy, which will include phonics-based and whole language instruction. The school employes a skills-based curriculum, like Saxon Math, as well as TERC's "Investigations in Numbers, Data and Space." Teachers will develop project-based, interdisciplinary units. The school provides a 210-day school year and an extended school day from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with an after school program from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. |
