|The John V. Lindsay Wildcat Academy Charter School is an ungraded inner-city high school, which will serve adolescents who are at risk of failure due to poor attendance, disruptive behavior, criminal activity and poor academic achievement. The school’s educational program includes intensive management, individualized and cooperative instruction, team building, and a stable learning environment. Classes are conducted year-round – students must attend 215 days. The school will be opened from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, with classes in session from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Students who regularly attend classes may earn the opportunity to attend alternately, one week of school and one week of an internship, throughout the year – internships are arranged by the school with host employers at numerous different worksites.
