| New Heights Academy Charter School provides a college preparatory education, ultimately for students in grades 5-12, in the Washington Heights and Inwood neighborhoods of Upper Manhattan. The school's academically rigorous curriculum will ensure that all students possess the knowledge, skills, and desire to achieve challenging post secondary education and career goals. Simultaneously, the school's nurturing environment of small class sizes and a focus on character education will ensure that our students develop a strong self-identity conducive to leading responsible lives as citizens in our global society. NHACS observes a uniform dress code. The school day runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. NHACS follows the NYC Department of Education school year calendar. There is a mandatory Saturday Academy program from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for students who are identified as struggling academically. |
