First Notice – The SUNY Trustees have received the following renewal request:

Achievement First Brooklyn Charter Schools, an education corporation operating more than one charter, seeks to renew its authority to operate the following charter school:

• • Achievement First Bushwick Charter School is located at 125 Covert Street, Brooklyn, NY 11207, and 1300 Greene Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11237, in Community School District 32 and chartered to serve 824 students in grades K-8 for the 2023-24 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school seeks a one year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2024 to align its charter with other schools under the education corporation. According to the renewal application, the school will continue to serve 824 students in grades K-8.

The SUNY Trustees, or their designees, the SUNY Charter Schools Committee, anticipate consideration of this application as soon as September 1, 2023.  The Institute welcomes any comments you may wish to provide.
