The Academy Charter School – Uniondale

Second Notice – The SUNY Trustees, in their capacity as a charter authorizer, approved the following renewal application:

The Academy Charter School, an education corporation operating more than one school, sought to renew its authority to operate the following school:

• • The Academy Charter School – Uniondale is located at 100 Charles Lindbergh Boulevard, Uniondale, NY 11553 in the Uniondale Union Free School District and is chartered to serve 1,225 students in grades K-7 and 9-11. The education corporation sought a one year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2023 to align its charter with other schools under the education corporation.  According to the renewal application the school will serve 1,550 students in grades K-12. The SUNY Trustees: 1) received the renewal application on or about August 15, 2022; and, 2) approved the renewal on December 15, 2022.

Please take further Notice that the SUNY Trustees have or will send the proposed renewal to the New York State Board of Regents for approval or action consistent with the New York Charter Schools Act of 1998.
