University Prep Charter High School

First Notice – The SUNY Trustees have received the following renewal request:

University Prep Public Charter Schools, an education corporation operating more than one charter, seeks to renew its charter for five years as well as its authority to operate the following charter school:

• • • University Prep Charter High School is located at 600 St. Ann’s Avenue, Bronx, NY 10455 in Community School District 7 and chartered to serve 450 students in grades 9-12 for the 2023-24 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school seeks a five year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2024. According to the renewal application, the school will continue to serve 450 students in grades 9-12.

The SUNY Trustees, or their designees, the SUNY Charter Schools Committee, anticipate consideration of this application as soon as September 1, 2023.  The Institute welcomes any comments you may wish to provide.
