Lamad Academy Charter Schools

First Notice – The SUNY Trustees received the following merger request:

• Lamad Academy Charter School, a charter school education corporation authorized by SUNY, located at 1060 Clarkson Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11212 in Community School District (“CSD”) 18, seeks to merge with Lamad Arverne Academy Charter School, a charter school education corporation authorized by SUNY, authorized to open a new charter school to be located in CSD 27 in the 2026-27 school year, such that when the merger is approved, Lamad Academy Charter School would be the successor education corporation authorized by SUNY under the name “Lamad Academy Charter Schools.”

The SUNY Trustees, or their designees, the SUNY Charter Schools Committee, anticipate consideration of this application as early as January 22, 2026.
