Second Notice – The SUNY Trustees have approved the following renewal applications.
Achievement First Brooklyn Charter Schools, an education corporation operating more than one charter, sought to renew its authority to operate the following charter schools:
- Achievement First Bushwick Charter School is located at 125 Covert Street, Brooklyn, NY 11207, and 1300 Greene Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11237, in CSD 32 and chartered to serve 824 students in grades K-8 for the 2023-24 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school sought a one-year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2024, to align its charter with other schools under the education According to the renewal application, the school will continue to serve 824 students in grades K-8.
- Achievement First East New York Charter School is located at 557 Pennsylvania Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11207, 158 Richmond Street, Brooklyn, NY 11208, and 35 Starr Street, Brooklyn, NY 11221 in CSDs 19 and 32 and chartered to serve 1,190 students in grades K-12 for the 2023- 24 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school sought a one-year renewal of the charter commencing July 1, 2024, to align its charter with other schools under the education corporation. According to the renewal application, the school will serve 1,208 students in grades K-12.
- Achievement First Linden Charter School is located at 800 Van Siclen Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11207, and 370 Fountain Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11208, in CSD 19 and chartered to serve 824 students in grades K-8 for the 2023-24 school year, the final year of the current charter The school sought a one-year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2024, to align its charter with other schools under the education corporation. According to the renewal application, the school will continue to serve 824 students in grades K-8.
- Achievement First North Brooklyn Charter School is located at 200 Woodbine Street, Brooklyn, NY 11221 in CSD 32 and chartered to serve 824 students in grades K-8 for the 2023- 24 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school sought a one-year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2024, to align its charter with other schools under the education corporation. According to the renewal application, the school will continue to serve 824 students in grades K-8.
The SUNY Trustees: 1) received the renewal applications on or about March 17, 2023, and 2) approved the renewals on October 12, 2023.
