KIPP Troy Prep Charter School

Second Notice – The SUNY Trustees have approved the following charter revision.

KIPP Capital Region Public Charter Schools, an education corporation with the authority to operate more than one charter school, requested the following charter revision:

• KIPP Troy Prep Charter School, currently located at 2 Polk Street and 3055 6^th Avenue, Troy, New York, 12180 in the Troy City School District, is chartered to serve 743 students in grades K-12 for the 2024-25 school year, growing to serve 1,358 students in grades K-12 by the 2028-29 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school requested a charter revision to relocate its high school to a new facility in the City School District of Albany, providing a more centralized location for its high school program. The SUNY Charter Schools Institute, as the SUNY Trustees’ designee: 1) received the revision application on or about April 11, 2025, and 2) approved the revision application on May 27, 2025.
