KIPP Freedom Charter School

First Notice – The SUNY Trustees, in the capacity as a charter authorizer, have received the following renewal application:

KIPP Freedom Charter School is located at 2246 Jerome Avenue, Bronx, New York 10453 and 1825 Prospect Avenue, Bronx, New York 10457 in Community School Districts 10 and 12 and chartered to serve 825 students in grades K-8. The school seeks a one year renewal of the charter commencing July 1, 2023 to align its charter with other schools under the education corporation. According to the renewal application the school will serve 810 students in grades K-8.

The SUNY Trustees, or their designees, the SUNY Charter Schools Committee, anticipate consideration of this application as soon as November 1, 2022.  The Institute would welcome any comments you might wish to provide.
