KIPP Troy Prep Charter School

Final Notice – The following charter renewal has been approved by operation of law.

KIPP Capital Region Public Charter Schools, an education corporation with the authority to operate more than one school, sought to renew its authority to operate the following school:

• KIPP Troy Prep Charter School, located at 2 Polk Street, Troy, New York 12180 and 3055 6th Avenue, Troy, New York 12180, in the Troy City School District, is chartered to serve 751 students in grades K-12 for the 2023-24 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school sought a five-year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2024.  According to the renewal application, the school will expand to serve 1,358 students in grades K-12.  The SUNY Trustees: 1) received the renewal application on or about March 17, 2023, 2) approved the renewal on October 12, 2023, and 3) the renewal was approved by operation of law on or about February 28, 2024.
