First Notice – The SUNY Trustees have received the following revision request:

KIPP Bronx Charter School II is located at 501 Gerard Avenue, Bronx, NY 10451 in Community School District 7 and is chartered to serve 697 students in grades K-2 and 5-8 in the 2023-24 school year, the final year of the current charter term.  The school requests an enrollment revision to serve 825 students in grades K-8 for the 2023-24 school year to accommodate grades 3-5 from KIPP Freedom Charter School.  

The SUNY Trustees, or their designees, the SUNY Charter Schools Committee, anticipate consideration of this request as soon as June 14, 2023.  The Institute welcomes any comments you may wish to provide. KIPP Freedom Charter School is located at 2246 Jerome Avenue, Bronx, NY 10453 and 1825 Prospect Avenue, Bronx, NY 10457 in Community School Districts 10 and 12 and is chartered to serve 810 students in grades K-8 for the 2023-24 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school requests an enrollment revision to serve 555 students in grades K-2 and 6-8 for the 2023-24 school year with the students to have been served in grades 3-5 to be accommodated by KIPP Bronx Charter School II.

Bronx Preparatory Charter School is located at 1529 Williamsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10461 and 3872 Third Avenue, Bronx, NY 10457 in Community School Districts 11 and 9 and is chartered to serve 1,110 students in grades K-3 and 6-12 for the 2023-24 school year and 1,210 students in grades K-4 and 6-12 for the 2024-25 school year, the final year of the current charter term.  The school requests an enrollment revision to serve 793 students in grades 6-12 for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 school years.  The elementary students will be served by Democracy Prep Endurance Charter School.
