First Notice – The SUNY Trustees have received the following renewal request:

Brooklyn Prospect Charter School, an education corporation operating more than one charter, seeks to renew its authority to operate Brooklyn Prospect Charter School – CSD 15.2.  The school is located at 341 39^th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11232 and 3002 Fort Hamilton Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11218 in CSD 15 and 19 40 Flatbush Avenue Ext., Brooklyn, NY 11201 in CSD 13, and is chartered to serve 1,210 students in grades K-3 and 6-12 for the 2023-24 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school seeks a two year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2024 to align its charter with other schools under the education corporation. According to the renewal application, the school will grow to serve 1,403 students in grades K-12.

The SUNY Trustees, or their designees, the SUNY Charter Schools Committee, anticipate consideration of this application as soon as October 1, 2023.  The Institute welcomes any comments you may wish to provide. SUNY is currently reviewing a revision request for the school to serve 25 students in grade 5 for the 2023-24 school year. The school seeks a two year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2024 to align its charter with other schools under the education corporation.  According to the renewal application, the school will grow to serve 200 students in grades K-3 and 5.

The SUNY Trustees, or their designees, the SUNY Charter Schools Committee, anticipate consideration of this application as soon as October 1, 2023.  The Institute welcomes any comments you may wish to provide. First Notice – The SUNY Trustees have received the following revision request:

Success Academy Charter School – Prospect Heights is located at 801 Park Place, Brooklyn, NY 11216 in Community School District (“CSD”) 17 and 700 Park Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11206 in CSD 14 and is chartered to serve 342 students in grades K-4 for the 2023-24 school year through the 2026-27 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school requests an enrollment decrease to serve 271 students in grades K-4 for the 2023-24 school year and 282 students in grades K-4 by the 2026-27 school year.

The SUNY Trustees, or their designees, the SUNY Charter Schools Committee, anticipate consideration of this request as soon as June 14, 2023.  The Institute welcomes any comments you may wish to provide.
