First Notice – The SUNY Trustees, in the capacity as a charter authorizer, have received the following renewal application:

Cypress Hills Ascend Charter School is located at 396 Grant Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11208 in Community School District 19 and chartered to serve 459 students in grades K-5. The school seeks a one year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2023 to align its charter with other schools under the education corporation. According to the renewal application the school will expand to serve 522 students in grades K-6.

The SUNY Trustees, or their designees, the SUNY Charter Schools Committee, anticipate consideration of this application as soon as November 1, 2022.  The Institute would welcome any comments you might wish to provide.
