Final Notice – The following charter renewal has been approved by operation of law.

• Coney Island Preparatory Public Charter School is located at 8787 24th Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11214, 133 27th Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11214, 501 West Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11224 and 294 Avenue T, Brooklyn, New York 11223 and is chartered to serve 1,404 students in grades K-12 for the 2022-23 school year. The school sought a five year renewal of its charter commencing July 1, 2023. The school will grow to serve 1,500 students in grades K-12. The SUNY Trustees: 1) received the renewal application on or about February 15, 2022; 2) approved the renewal on October 6, 2022; and 3) the renewal was approved by operation of law on or about February 22, 2023.

Final Notice – The following charter renewal has been approved by operation of law.

• Brooklyn Prospect Charter School CSD 13.2 is located at 80 Willoughby Street, Brooklyn, New York 11201 and is chartered to serve 454 students in grades K-5. The school sought a three-year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2023 to align its charter with other schools under the education.  The school will expand to serve 798 students in grades K-8. The SUNY Trustees: 1) received the renewal application on or about August 15, 2022; 2) approved the renewal on December 22, 2022; and 3) the renewal was approved by operation of law on or about May 31, 2023.

Final Notice – The following charter renewal has been approved by operation of law.

• Brooklyn Excelsior Charter School is located at 856 Quincy Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11221 and is chartered to serve 742 students in grades K-8. The school seeks a five year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2023.  The school will serve 742 students in grades K-8. The SUNY Trustees: 1) received the renewal application on or about August 15, 2022; 2) approved the renewal on March 15, 2023; and 3) the renewal was approved by operation of law on or about July 4, 2023.

Final Notice – The following charter renewal has been approved by operation of law.

• Brooklyn Dreams Charter School is located at 259 Parkville Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11230 and is chartered to serve 712 students in grades K- The school sought a five year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2023. The school will serve 712 students in grades K-8. The SUNY Trustees: 1) received the renewal application on or about August 15, 2022; 2) approved the renewal on March 15, 2023; and 3) the renewal was approved by operation of law on or about July 4, 2023.

Final Notice – The following charter renewal has been approved by operation of law.

• Cypress Hills Ascend Charter School is located at 396 Grant Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11208 and is chartered to serve 459 students in grades K-5. The school sought a one-year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2023 to align its charter with other schools under the education. The school will expand to serve 522 students in grades K-6. The SUNY Trustees: 1) received the renewal application on or about August 15, 2022; 2) approved the renewal on December 15, 2022; and 3) the renewal was approved by operation of law on or about May 4, 2023.

Final Notice – The following charter renewal has been approved by operation of law.

• Canarsie Ascend Charter School is located at 9719 Flatlands Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11236 and 744 East 87th St., Brooklyn, NY 11236  and is chartered to serve 992 students in grades K-8. The school sought a one year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2023 to align its charter with other schools under the education corporation. The school will serve 976 students in grades K-8. The SUNY Trustees: 1) received the renewal application on or about August 15, 2022; 2) approved the renewal on December 15, 2022; and 3) the renewal was approved by operation of law on or about May 4, 2023.

Final Notice – The following charter renewal has been approved by operation of law.

• Bushwick Ascend Charter School is located at 751 Knickerbocker , Brooklyn, NY 11221 and 2 Aberdeen St., Brooklyn, NY 11207 and is chartered to serve 897 students in grades K-8. The school sought a one year renewal of the charter commencing July 1, 2023 to align its charter with other schools under the education corporation. The school will serve 872 students in grades K-8. The SUNY Trustees: 1) received the renewal application on or about August 15, 2022; 2) approved the renewal on December 15, 2022; and 3) the renewal was approved by operation of law on or about May 4, 2023.
